Basshole
Do you want to feel good, or do you want to do good? Ted Nugent I am Classic Rock Revisited. I revisit it every waking moment of my life because it has the spirit and the attitude and the fire and the middle finger. I am Rosa Parks with a Gibson guitar. Ted Nugent I have busted more hippies' noses than all the narcs in the free world. Ted Nugent I hump the wild to take it all in, there is no bag limit on happiness. Ted Nugent I really have the American dream licked. Ted Nugent I still tour like a man possessed, because I am. Ted Nugent If you want to save a species, simply decide to eat it. Then it will be managed - like chickens, like turkeys, like deer, like Canadian geese. Ted Nugent Look what venison does to a goofy guitar player from Detroit? I'm going to be 54 this year and if I had any more energy I'd scare you. Ted Nugent Mankind: A quality of life upgrade is available to each and every one of you. It should give you a quality of life upgrade, which means no drugs, no alcohol, no fast food - unless, of course, it's a mallard. Ted Nugent Mr. Janet Reno? I think Mr. Janet Reno... I think he's one of the best hunting dogs in the world. Ted Nugent My idea of fast food is a mallard. Ted Nugent The war is coming to the streets of America and if you are not keeping and bearing and practicing with your arms then you will be helpless and you will be the victim of evil. Ted Nugent There are hundreds of millions of gun owners in this country, and not one of them will have an accident today. The only misuse of guns comes in environments where there are drugs, alcohol, bad parents, and undisciplined children. Period. Ted Nugent Vegetarians are cool. All I eat are vegetarians - except for the occasional mountain lion steak. Ted Nugent War is good when good survives and evil is crushed. If you don't crush evil then evil will get you. Hoyt
I hope your were posting those quotes to demonstrate what a dope Nugent has become. Nugent is the rush limbaugh of rock. One of those loud mouths we have to put up with in a free country.

IMHO...what Ted is saying is that a gun can't be shot accidentally, someone has to actively place their finger on the trigger and squeeze it. People who shoot things that they don't intend to shoot are breaking one or more rules of gun safety. For the reasons he listed...
NeoConMan
Hoyt, I wonder what Ted might think of YOU? :-) Surely he would be amused with your machete antics and erratic posts.... I love ted Nugent's Guitar Playing and Lust for life' date=' but sometimes his foot gets lodged firmly in his mouth. Near as I figure there's between 800 and 1000 accidental deaths by Firearms in the US. [/quote']How many deaths by drowning - especially small children? Do the owners of swimming pools, bathtubs and mop buckets face such knee-jerk derision - and prosecution? We kill 40,000 people a year in cars, anybody here give up driving? How many people die from pneumonia each year? How many of those cases start in a hospital? I love guns' date=' but I'm a Gun Safety fanatic. Ted's a tad on the reckless side. [/quote']What have you EVER witnessed to validate such a claim? Tell ya what, read Ted, White & Blue and get back to me on that. If he's so reckless, somebody would have been hurt by now. Been hunting for decades, shoots A LOT at his homes, and has never killed anything unintentionally that I'm aware of. I would LOVE to go shooting with you some time, rest assured I'll be watching you as closely as I do anybody else. Gun Safety fanatic, eh? What do you normally shoot? Long gun, handgun? Targets, hunting? Inside range or outdoor? Lotsa variables I like to confirm in assessing shooting skills, and I find many shooters to be modest about their ability. Murph
Who is that pothead to decide which side God picks in a war? Pothead? You don't know Uncle Ted at all, do you? NeoConMan
KISS - largely responsible for me learning guitar - and wanting a Cherry burst Les Paul. I've always liked Paul Stanley's voice and songwriting, and I wish I had Gene Simmons' business acumen. I read his book in two sittings, man what a great read! In a funny way, I envy their lack of shame. They are truly showmen and it's all about the mighty dollar. PT Barnum would be proud....
FirstMeasure
I didn't say it was a lot. I'm the first one to sat Traffic is much more dangerous than a Shooting Range. I'm just saying that when Ted says No On of the millions of Gun Owners are going to have an accident today, that's just far fetched. I'm sorry to say I haven't Usually shot anything lately. But in my younger days, Pre-California Ban, I would go out in the desert with my Brothers Friends and Shoot anything from AK, SKS, Isreali made Uzi, Mini 14, AR 15, 357, .44 mag, and a few other pistols. I had a Winchester 30-30, and my .22. No, nothing impressive by Arizona Machine Gun Club Standards (and, yes, I'm very envious of that), but it was fun. However, if someone was prone to Barrel Sweeps they stayed home. Now, let me explain what I meant about Ted. I saw him in an interview say he leaves his guns in an unlocked cabinet and on display in his house because his kids are respectful of weapons and have been raised with gun sense. Anyone who goes to sleep in a house with children and guns, and the guns are accessible to the children, is Just a Tad on the reckless side. Then to tell all the dumb *** Trailer Alabamans that it's cool to leave your guns unlocked, is taking your celebrity status a little too lightly. But notice the language I use. Just a "Tad"..."Little Too Lightly..." He's far from a bad example. I'd be delighted to go Shooting with you. I'm more of an outdoor target man, but range is cool with me, too. I've never hunted more than Varmint, a real Deer or Elk hunt is in my future. I'm sure of that.
NeoConMan
No On of the millions of Gun Owners are going to have an accident today' date=' that's just far fetched.[/quote']Semantics maybe, but Ted may intend (and I agree) that there are really few accidents with guns - or cars.98% of the time, somebody had their head in their ***. Why is it called an accident? An accident is a two year old just out of diapers or me dropping food on a nice shirt - and even that is a stretch... Now' date=' let me explain what I meant about Ted. I saw him in an interview say he leaves his guns in an unlocked cabinet and on display in his house because his kids are respectful of weapons and have been raised with gun sense.[/quote']In my home as a kid, my Old Man had a beautiful wood and glass case (like an overgrown china cabinet) that beautifully displayed dozens of guns.We all knew the key was 'hidden' on the top and the curved glass would barely stop a fly if it was moving fast. That being said, my home is much different. NO guns on display at all. I have a few that are quick and easily accessible (and loaded) for home defense, everything else is locked up like Fort Knox. Remember, I'm a gun dealer as well so a separate safe is required for customer guns. Anyone who goes to sleep in a house with children and guns' date=' and the guns are accessible to the children, is Just a Tad on the reckless side.[/quote'] I disagree, and will give all gun owners the benefit of the doubt. It's still a personal decision made about personal property, and I will have to let people do what's best for them. My kids NEVER touched a gun in the house, I had only one episode where my truck was "borrowed" and a gun was in it. Locked up inside my locked garage is pretty safe unless your kid "finds" the keys.... Then to tell all the dumb *** Trailer Alabamans that it's cool to leave your guns unlocked' date=' is taking your celebrity status a little too lightly.[/quote'] I have absolutely no problem with it.If it goes bad, it's on their shoulders. But notice the language I use. Just a "Tad"..."Little Too Lightly..." He's far from a bad example.Probably the best real world example of gun ownership I know' date=' especially considering his relatively high profile. I'd be delighted to go Shooting with you. I'm more of an outdoor target man' date=' but range is cool with me, too. I've never hunted more than Varmint, a real Deer or Elk hunt is in my future. I'm sure of that. [/quote']Never got an elk, someday I will before I get too old to want to hike so much in the cold. The only deer I've ever killed were on the highway - and did lotsa damage to the vehicles. Not for lack of hunting though. I usually shoot in the desert right beside my house. The indoor range is only used in the heat of the summer, or when I'm taking somebody shooting for their first time.
KSG_Standard
Elk...the TASTIEST of all the North American big game...IMHO I was privileged to be able to hunt elk all over Colorado and New Mexico during the 12 years I spent living in Colorado. It can be some of the most challenging and rewarding hunting of your life if you ever get to go. Rugged, BEAUtiful country and a tough cagey animal... FirstMeasure
I can see that philosophy. An accident's not an Accident if it's carelessness. And believe me, If i ever met Ted and got to hunt or shoot with him, I would keep my yap shut about what I think of his unlocked gun cabinet. I'd probably spend more time picking his brain about guitar, cooking, and hunting for food. Maybe get to shoot his .50 cal. (Have you seen the episode of Super Group, where Ted take a couple members of the band out to his desert haunt and lets them pull off a few rounds. Talk about Envy!) Homz
I like Ted. He never fails to entertain. He has some really nice guitars too. I always get a good chuckle from his TV interviews. You'd think after a while those who take him seriously and try to actually treat him like a political figure would understand that he is just a reactionary flamboyant personality. King of the power chord.
