I heard in my last thread on this same topic that it would be best to have an acoustic preamp onboard. But I saw this on stewmac and was wondering whether this could work as well.. I would place the piezo somewhere between the bridge and the beginning of the neck mounting ring. I was planning to use a regular acoustic pickup cos i dont want to drill and then this as the pre amp....link here.. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Preamps/L.R._Baggs_Gigpro_Universal_Preamp.html

Looks like it would work fine, but it could get a little cumbersome.

You'd have to have a seperate cord from the preamp to your amp, or use a Y splitter to bring both cords into one line out.

Have you checked out the schematics for the EPI LP Ultr 2? It looks like they've got it mastered pretty well with their setup.
