Cruznolfart
Interesting of a very fun looking instrument, made by Warr Guitars. (no affiliation)
Cruznolfart
That was just amazing that there are people out there that talented. Agreed. It's kinda like playing guitar, and kinda like piano, and kinda like drums...looks fun but a bit of a learning curve for an old fart.

Cruznolfart
An amazing looking and sounding instrument. I think it would have to be a double neck SG 1275 before one of these even got on the list though. Yes, it's very different. I'm not even sure I'd think of it as another guitar so much as an entirely different instrument altogether. The advantage to that is you have TWO instrument groups you can gas on. :D
MikeRom
King Krimson, from the 80's with Fripp and Belew, the bass player used something called the stick which used the same principal of touch. He got some of the sickest low's I've every heard.

It's a really cool instrument that you can tap, strum, or slap to achieve different sounds. Here's him playing it live with king Crimson on "Elephant Talk". The interesting thing is that the first few measures are just him and Bill Bruford.
grampa
That's like a Chapman Stick, invented in '69. Cool instrument.
