0dj0bz
Perhaps someone can help me.... I have a 1983 Les Paul Studio that I am the original owner of. I cannot seem to find another one like it anywhere, and I am curious if anyone else has ever run across the same model. It is an electric blue color, with white (not ivory) pickguard and pickup trim. It is fitted with ivory/black burstbuckers, and also has the Gibson-licensed Kahler Flyer tremolo that was available that year with the locking nut installed. It also has Gibson-branded crank winders. Has anyone seen this beast? Thanks

Qwank
sounds like a nice guitar. 83-84 studios have alder bodies and maple necks.
pru56
The Studio came out in 1983. It first started as the XRI, II, III. They were all with Ebony Fretboard, 1959 shape neck, Craved maple top, Mahogany back, One-piece Mahogany neck, 490R/490T Pickup. They where the same as the Standard except for all the cosmites. Most came in Wine Red, Ebony (Black) or Alpine White. There were some other that were made in diffince colors and style. Check CS at Gibson with SN and the can help you. Good Lock Post some Pic's, would like to see it. Mine is a 1982 Les Paul XRIII, Here is some pic's
