Californiaman
Does anybody use Garage Band? I know I've asked before, but I have a couple of questions.
cat&mouse
I have it but I have only used it a few times. What's the question, I still may be able to help you out.
Californiaman
Have you noticed some of the Guitar Amplifier Selections are staticy? Also, do you use the loops available? If so, is it possible to change the key the loop is in? For instance from G to C or C to D.
Californiaman
Thanks Roger, I'll check it out today.
elantric
I now use Logic 9. Are you a beta tester for the new release? As far as I know Logic 8 is the official version we can buy today.

Californiaman
My business partner is one of the top sound engineers in europe' date=' no1 last year no2 this, SO i Guess its a beta version if it's not 8. Maybe it's 8?[/quote']I've got Garageband 08. I don't like the fact that if I want to go to the web, it has to be through the Macintosh Podcast. I have to sign up for a 60 trial and then I suspect I have to pay for it. Otherwise, sharing music will have to be done through a filesharing sight. Maybe Myspace (didn't want to do that just yet). Tim Plains
I'm having a ton of issues with it. Sometimes my guitar works and sometimes it doesn't. When it does work, the guitar isn't loud enough and I have to turn everything else right down. I even bought an iMic but it didn't help. I'll figure it out but it is frustrating. I don't use it to record, I just try setting up a drum beat and a bass riff and try jamming with it. Yes, Jamming with my computer. Never thought I'd say that. Great program, though. Californiaman
Are Nine, it sounds like you are having more problems than I have had. As far as the the guitar volumes it helps if you turn off the computer's internal microphone. Also, there are two volumes, one on the individual guitar, bass, drum track and a master at the bottom of the program. Hope I was able to help you. Californiaman
What version are you using. Mine looks nothing like that. My loops are at the bottom of the page. I'll show you a little later.
Californiaman
You mean this one. Here the loops and software instruments. I love the choices they give you but sometimes you really have to dial in your own tone.
Rocky4
This doesn't help but if you're looking for a little fun, you can download some N.I.N. songs in Garageband format. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17745 http://yearzero.nin.com/ I think they only work for Macs
Rocky4
Hi Rocky4' date=' What computer are you using MAc or PC? [/quote'] Power PC iMac. The newer N.I.N. files are for Intel Macs so they are not compatible with mine.
Boston004681
I use it. its incredible. wicked easy to use. easy to learn, simple. plenty of good guitar sounds and effects, i would highly recommend logic though. WAY bettter guitar sounds. garageband's guitar sounds are 'cheesey' if you know what i mean. They have logic studio. And logic express. GarageBand still works great though. your decision!
