GuitarJunkie
I own a Les Paul Nashville Junior from the 2007 "Guitar of the Week" series (which was actually built in 2008... don't ask). The unique feature that makes it a Nashville Junior is the pickguard based on the "Floral & Vine" design from the J200 acoustic. When I first saw one in photos, I wasn't too keen on the pickguard. Once I saw it in person, it was actually pretty cool. The problem is that I play the guitar quite a bit and don't want to wear off the design. A couple of months ago, I was ordering a pickguard to install P90s into my Flying V and decided for another 20 bucks, I'd get a replacement guard for the Junior. Rather than go with plain black, I decided to spice things up and go with a 3-ply tortoise guard...

The Mick
Eye normally wouldn't care for the floral but it really give that Jr some personality.
GuitarJunkie
Eye normally wouldn't care for the floral but it really give that Jr some personality. I like the floral as well, but this is my son's "birthday" guitar so when he gets it one day, I'd like it to be in decent shape.

Witmer
I really like the floral with the black and white. Almost a tuxedo kind of look. Good for you thinking ahead to make sure it stays nice. I've never seen a (Gibson) guitar with tortoise on white - so it's still a unique look.
GuitarJunkie
Some of the original Juniors and Specials came with tortoise guards, but they weren't usually pure white.
BIGBENDS
Good choice. The tortoise looks marvelous on white. Ebony fretboard? Love it!
GuitarJunkie
It is ebony, although it looks a little lighter in the photos.
