What's your most comfortable guitar?

For me, it's my LP Smart Wood. It can't even be considered a Les Paul by the purists, but holy smokes is it comfortable! It has the thinner "The Paul" style shape with a tummy cut in back, so it feels like holding a strat without the less-than-elegant look of one.

Sorry Gibby fans....My Strat is the most comfy guitar.....The least comfortable?...My Jackson Rhoads flying V.

I'll agree with you there. A Strat is definitely more comfortable to play than an LP, but it still isn't bad. Right now, I'm only down to two electrics and my PRS is way more comfortable than my BFG. The Silverburst V felt awkward to play. It sounded great and looked great, but I couldn't get used to it.

Me thinks a differentiation has to be made, most comfortable guitar sitting down or standing up.

Sitting down my Stratocaster molds really well to my six pack abs and my rugged and muscluar forearm loves the contour on the front of the body.

Standing up my Explorer has the best balance and upper fret access with minimal effort even hanging the guitar a little on the low side. Every time my Explorer is hanging on my shoulder I feel I could go to the local rennassaince festival enter a joust and win. That thing is a killer.

Although I dearly love my Gibson ES-330 and my Epiphone Casino

My most comfortable guitar is my modified LTD EC-50 (GFS Mean 90 pups and Big D Varitone)

It's light, has a belly cut out, and well balanced.

I used to have a Kramer faux strat, and it was very comfortable as well, but it's gone now. Some day I want to get a real Strat, but until the economy improves, that is definitely out of the question.

Definitely not a Strat for me. SGs are very comfortable' date=' so are Les Pauls and Teles.

I will never say anything positive about a Tele again. I own one but they're ugly as sin.

There, that's better...[/quote']

My Hero.

Thanks for taking one for the team, sir. I'll let my wife know I was right.... there are some guitars that, no matter how good they sound or play, are still ugly....

Sorry for the derail. I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Ok i need a drink now. Just threw up into my mouth a little. :-& . My answer is tie between Strat and LP. Also i vote for any guitar that has "Dimebag" or "Dime" on it as least comfortable.

Well in terms of pure comfort I'd have to go with my Strat too. I've been playing a Les Paul style guitar (the Sonex) since I was 13 and that guitar is easier for me to play. But my back and wrist don't feel nearly as sore when I'm playing the Strat...
