GuitarJunkie
Someone I know is selling of these. Is it legit? Did Gibson even make such a thing? I think I recall them being available in black' date=' but I [i']KNOW[/i] they were available in "Ebony Stain". It looks like black, but if you look at it in the right light, you'll see the grain. Just get the serial number and call 1-800-4GIBSON. They're open 24/7 and will tell you exactly what it is.
GuitarJunkie
By the way, I googled "Gibson SG Classic ebony", and look what the very first result was... SG Classic
thejay
Yup, SG Classic in Ebony Stain was made by Gibson years ago and discountined
ashgray
So is it a faded finish then? The guy insisted that it's a Special, not a Classic.
GuitarJunkie
Sorry, when I read P90s, I just assumed you were talking about a Classic. As far as I know, the only Specials that came with P90s are the vintage ones or the Custom Shop reissues.
thejay
If it is a REAL SG Classic it would be Ebony Stain which I believe had the full nitro finish - so not faded
