z-clay
I finally found a Les Paul that I liked and that I could afford.... Yep, I ended up buying an Epiphone. I know that they are not as good as a Gibson in many ways but this guitar felt and sounded like it was built for me. After playing it for several hours, I know I made the right choice. Looks like I'm headed to the Epiphone forum for now. I'll be back when I get that Gibson LP Custom I've been saving for.
Pink_Floyd
Brilliant! Hey at the end of the day if you like the guitar and it plays how you want then it is a winner. Post some pics!

dmeds
Congratulations! I also own an Epi LP along with my Gibby's. As I stated in another post, changing pickups, capacitors and pots will get you fairly close to the Gibson tone. If you ever, or should I say when you start "Jonesing"for a Gibson, upgrading the electronics may be the short term fix. In reality, I think that we all know that eventually a Gibson is on every LP lovers list. Have fun!

shotgunshooter3
Looks very nice! I was very close to buying an Epi LP Standard Plus, until I found my 03 Gibson LP Special. If I ever start jonesing for another LP I will definitely consider an Epi.
