If you're not aware, Rochester is home to the great, great House of Guitars, and they're hardly strangers to vintage instruments. There's a handful of 50s Les Pauls (Juniors, trapeze goldtops, the whole lot), plenty of acoustics from the 40s and up, and a steel guitar or two.

What you don't see quite as often is this:

That's an 1896 harp guitar, built by Orville himself. There was another one upstairs waiting for some kind of repair.

The little one next to it is an 1830s Martin, by C.F. Martin I.

That harp guitar is nice but it is not from the 1800's or built by Orville. It looks like a Gibson factory teens model. Still two interesting guitars. What store are they at?

Good to know. I'm not sure if they told me that information or if I made it up. I might have mixed it up with something else. They're located at the House of Guitars in Rochester' date=' NY.

Why would you put 2 great guitars like up their?!!?

I imagine it's so the hundreds of people walking through the store every day don't decide to play, and destroy, an original New York Martin.
