1967 Gibson SG?

I'm getting ready to trade off this guitar for an early 70's Les Paul. It's a '67 SG Special. What would be a good estimated value for this axe?

I'd say $3,500 – $4,000 would be a fair price range. It looks like it's in very good shape.

Sweet! That's about what I was assuming. I just wanted to hear someone else say it too.

There's a '65 Special in similar condition up now for $4,200 on ebay. Yours looks like it's in pretty good condition, and if it's all original you might be able to get $4,000-$5,000 from what I've seen on there.

Nice guitar! My first Gibson was a '67 SG Standard that I bought new. It's tough to find Specials from the late-'60's as Pete Townshend broke most of them! By his own admission, he went through four or five thousand of them (but he was probably paying $100 apiece--that guitar retailed originally for $225.)
