esch Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Nice! First thing I would do though is replace the pup borders and around the pickup selector, to black. Then you're good to go! I thought that model came with black (mine did).
pohatu771 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I don't really like the cream pickguard, but I like the cream rings. If you need a pickguard, I'd go clear.

I thought that model came with black (mine did).[/quote'] Yea everyhting came in black, but the very day i got it i switched the pickguard to start the modding process, the pics with the white pickguard are from last year, but the ones without a pickguard are from today, I took off the guard for now
MikeRom Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Looks better without the pick guard but I'd go with the black plastic all around. Really makes it pop.
BIGBENDS Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Looks perfect the way you have it now, without a pickguard. Congrats!
Amped Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Great looking setup i am tied between getting one of those or a traditional right now myself.
dmeds Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 She's purtie! I always fancied red in cars/motorcycles; particularly candy apple red. It's just as slick on an LP.
AXE® Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Beautiful guitar. Congrats and enjoy it the way you want to.
rocketman Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Very nice. I always had a thing for reddish guitars (my first Les Paul is black cherry). Enjoy!!
loneguitar Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 She's a keeper, love and play her, I like it w/o the pickguard - congrats
Andre S Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Yea, its been over a year, since i first saw her such a beauty breath taking since i opened the case. The first set, with the stuff in the case was then, the later ones are now, just never bothered to post pics, specially when it was in its transitional phase. when i change pups, etc i will post more pics, people may say the neck is thickish, but for someone who had started on a classical guitar, it is amazing. one thing though, is there any other alternative to prevent hte neck from becoming sticky, that is other than sanding? cos that really sucks
rocketman Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 one thing though' date=' is there any other alternative to prevent hte neck from becoming sticky, that is other than sanding? cos that really sucks[/quote'] Follow the eternal wisdom of AXE® in this thread. Works great...
phil325 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 nice guitar! are you planning an amp upgrade anytime soon?

BigKahune Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Nice. I like the dark red (wine red?). Congrats. Is this the guitar you changed to alnico pro 2 pups? (as you mentioned on your other thread)
