phil325 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 It's been a while since i cleaned and restrung so i decided to snap a few quick shots with my phone. let me know what you think :) the first few are without the screwless pickguard which explains that acrylic gel button stuck to the body. (used some fretboard conditioner) (with the pickguard, obviously) closeup of the screwless pickguard for those who don't know what it is. attaches to existing screws on pup rings. definitely suggest one if you haven't had a pre-drilled pickguard installed anyway, if you want you can keep the pic posting going hehe...i never get tired of seeing them all. ill see if i can find my real camera and put up some better shots maybe outside in the sunlight for better lighting. -phil
LPguitarman Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Beautiful Honeyburst. I wish I had known about the screwless pickguard before I drilled and installed my pickguard that came loose in the case.
dmeds Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 You must be quite good and unique with your style of playing; a 2 string guitar? Kidding aside, HB is my favorite and the color of my Trad. Beautiful LP you have.
BigKahune Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Nice . . . your top looks great with the HB finish.
stevezapp Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 AAAARRRRGGGHHH! Dude! You're supposed to but the rubber bumper on the underside of the pickguard, not the guitar itself! You might have done some nasty damage to the finish already, but i'd get that off sharpish. Adhesive is not a guitars best friend...
jeffbeck Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Sweet top.... What year is she? 2003 according to his signature. Beautiful guitar! I was having a hard time deciding what my next Paul would be between the Honey Burst or Desert Burst...I think I'll go with the honey now. Thanks dude!! Respectfully, Mark
phil325 Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 What do you use on the fretboard? Fret Doctor? i use the gibson fretboard conditioner. its like $2 on sweetwater.com
