He is doing a great job. My only concern is if something happens in the same part of the case, it may go right into the guitar. What would you recommend sealing the case on that area. I really do not try to get something for nothing and yes sending the case back would be annoying. If someone knows what to seal the area with that would be great. You can actually push the area into the foam if you push hard enough. is there any epoxy, glue, cement or whatever to seal it.

Thank-you.

Sorry I respectfully disagree. I think that if he paid for a new case and guitar, then that's what he should expect. When and if he damages the new case in the future, then he should go through the expense and time to mend it. Are you going to accept and pay for a new item, car, appliance, etc...that is damaged? Most folks don't.

Get the case the way you ordered it.

hey i was the schmo who recommended keeping the case and parlaying it into something else...

heres my thinking...

to me...a case is a case...it holds the guitar...keeps it safe and makes it easy to transport...

im one who likes to take the good with the bad...etc...

in fact...you know what...i guess it doesnt matter what im into...

bottom line its not my case/guitar...

if youre not happy eeh1...then i agree with DonCarlos when he says get your setup the way you ordered it...

to me it just seemed like an awful lot of hassel...

you spent thousands on your guitar so you have the right to demand the case to be the way it should...

i was just saying...if 90% of the case is fine...why not turn that into potentially more stuff you can use?

if you could fix the case with this foam stuff and it doesnt look too bad and on top of it you can work out some deal to get some extra accessories...then you win...

its not about getting something for nothing!

i personally dont believe in getting something for nothing because i dont believe there is ever anything that is truly free!

there is always some price to pay for anything...

that being said...if your gonna look at your patched up case the rest of your life and think to yourself..."i wish i really sent it back when i had the chance..."

then dont be that guy!

send it back!

get a new one...i want you to be happy with your guitar/case

thats the point!

thats why we all share this same obsession!

i bought a guitar that was sent back to a shop...and had a ding in it...

i saved some loot in the process...the ding didnt hurt functionality...and with the money i saved i got a free amp!

who's to say i wouldnt ding a brand new guitar myself eventually?

im sure i will!

the point is...someone bought it new...dinged it and sent it back immediately in order to get a pristine one!

im sure by now that pristine guitar is dinged as well and ultimately they are in the same position they were before but WITHOUT the option to trade it in...

are they any worse off?

that is debatable...i guess one man's junk is another man's treasure...in this case the "junk" was a '62 AVRI Strat! and the treasure was the same exact thing plus a fender champ 600!

here is where i end it because this is turning too long to be enjoyable to read...if you want a new case...get one! please!

be 100% happy with your gear or get rid of it!

dont comprimise...

i was just thinking that you could save yourself the what i call "hassle" and maybe get some other crap you would have bought anyways...

just my .02!

i hope everything works out for you!!
