pots and pick ups

question, i want to switch th P-100's for P-90's in my '93 special, do i also need to install 250k pots??

and im noticing something, when i turn the volume pot up to 10 (or 11) the tone does not seem to work however when i roll back on the volume it does work, very strange. ok one more thing, when i swap the pick ups i want to have the electronics as close as possible to my old special. what if anything can i do about that??? ok enough

The manufacturer probably recommends the best pots. I can't believe you sold a '58 Special tsk tsk tsk
