rlammjr
Experts: where in the line should I place my TU2 Tuner? Or should I leave it out all together? I currently have (from Guitar): to eq, then to Overdrive SD-1 (as booster), then to MT-2 Metal zone, then to amp. thanks

bobv
The TU-2 has a buffer in it when it's turned off, and that will help drive the rest of your effects chain so it helps to put it at the beginning. Purists will shy away from this when using germanium fuzz effects because the effect responds better to the guitar's volume knob without a buffer in between. Otherwise it's a good thing to have the buffer first. Otherwise as a practical matter, it's probably safest for the tuner to be getting an unadulterated signal from the instrument. A delay would confuse the tuner if you had it before the tuner (it's still hearing repeats from the old note before you turned the tuning peg). Distortion might be giving too many harmonics for the tuner to quickly capture the note (some tuners say to turn the tone knob down, some say to leave it full up, so they'll behave differently with effects in front).
