All good choices. But how can you beat Batman dancing (see here)? Adam West nailed it!! My son actually loves the old Batman movie (got the DVD for like $5 in a supermarket).

I can't even imagine anyone other than Adam West playing the part and I refuse to hear about anyone else playing the part (plugs ears with fingertips) Lalalalalalala I can't hear you........

I vote Keaten. When I was a little kid I watched the reruns of the campy Adam West show, but Keaten played the part just right. He had the right look as far as age, and personality similar to the comic. I look at Bale playing Batman and I can't shake the image of him killing Jared Leto in his apartment or filming a porn with two hookers out of my head. Batman wouldn't do that...Batman would do it up with Catwomen ;)

Tough choice.

I don't guess anyone will ever really replace Adam West and **** Ward for me. I spent far too many hours watching the original show, but Christian Bale plays the best modern Batman. I thought ALL the above were excellent in their portrayals, with each excelling in one aspect or another: I think Clooney came the closest to the original..... from a purely Bruce Wayne perspective. I also liked Keaton's almost absent-minded humor and Kilmer's "James T. Kirk" kick-*** attitude, for example. But I think the "darker" shade that Bale adds to the role is what really sets his portrayal apart from the rest.

Adam West was a joke, but at least it was supposed to be that way.

Keaton was ok-ish, he was a dark-ish guy and all.

Kilmer and Clowney were the worst 2 batmans ever, they were jokes while intended to be serious, what was it with all those butt close-ups and the nippled armor anyway? I dont care if paris hilton gets to be batman in the next movie, clowney and kilmer will still be the worst, FOREVER.

Now Bale, that guy was born to play the batman as much as jonny deep (or however his name's writen) was born to play any and every kind of weirdo from capt. sparrow to the guy with scisors as hands...

The sods still havent released the TV show on DVD. Apparently there is a dispute over ownership rights which they will never resolve, so we miss out.

Keaton - Good Batman, Bad Bruce Wayne

Kilmer - Good Bruce Wayne, OK Batman

Clooney - Stop it will ya? (Governor Mr. Freeze Blows also)

Bale - Love the movies for the realistic portrayal of Gotham and realistic violence, but his Batman Voice leaves him in the realm of Keaton

Adam West - Is Batman and Bruce Wayne

Adam West was my hero as Batman when I was a kid. He's gotta be the best.

My father called me NAMTAB when I was a little boy because sometimes I put my Batman costume on inside out.

I dont wear it back to front these days [-o<
