stethescope
I have a question about my 1985 explorer that hopefully someone can help me with. It is different than most explorers in that the pickup selector switch is located underneath the bridge pickup instead of on the horn like most I have seen. Also it has an ebony fret board and came equipped with a khaler flyer tremolo and grover tuners. Has anyone out there stumbled across one like this and how rare is it? Thanks for any input you may have.
ksdaddy
Models change, switches get moved, knobs get moved, tremoloes come and go.... here's what the Explorer looked like in the mid 80s (bet it looks familiar....)
stethescope
Yup!!! It's XACTLY like the black explorer in the middle of the ad. Thanks for the reply. Never played anything that comes close to the action w/ the exception of a buddies mid 80's LP custom black beauty. Had to replace the bridge pickup w/ a super distortion cuz the stock ones squeeled. Anyway thanks again!
