-I would go to acoustics fourm but I like you guys way better

-I want to but a cheap vintage acoustic (Kay/Harmoney/Silvertone/Epiphone)

-This not something I can go to a music store and try out and see what feel right

Do you guys have any knowledge on old vintage cheap acoustics?

My bro says get a old silvertone, I was wondering if anybody has anything diffrent that might be good.

Silvertones are junk, seriously. If you get an old one, you just have old junk.

Try out a company called Kona. They make a killer A/E for under $200.

I bought one of their thinline A/Es from a pawn shop a few years ago, and after a good setup it outplays most any guitar I've ever tried, and that includes Martin, Gibson, whatever.

What makes an instrument vintage? Years is what I suspect although some may be vintage junk as suggested.

I say get a vintage 70's ovation. Ok it may not be vintage now, but give it 10 more years and it will be plus if an ovation from the 70's can last without the neck coming off then I'd say it was built pretty darn good.

Dynadude I need a acoustic with mojo

DJ I didn't find any cheap ovation out on ebay

Mojo?

Does that mean "Hard to tune, and sounds bad"?

Believe me, you won't like a Harmony, unless you plan to play slide.

It means old wood, playable, nothing special, just needs to make a "decent" sound

Try looking for some older Yamaha guitars.

My sister has one she bought in the mid/late 70's and it sounds better today than it did new.

Yes, Yamahas are very nice. The 70s MIJ 12-strings are terrific; 6-strings good too. Washburn is another good choice.
