wicked1
So, I have a 12-yr-old Pomeranian who is allergic to flea bites. Last summer he scratched his back until he was bald. Today, he was feeling quite miserable and scratching a lot, but I was out of the antihistamines we got from the vet & couldn't get into see her. So I check to see the dosage for a dog his size and decide to give him a Benadryl to try to help. Well, I knew it might cause some lethary/sedation. But this dang dog has a glazed look in his eyes and acts like he can't quite figure out where his legs are. He just keeps looking at me like, "Dude.....got any Doritos?" wicked1
Just wait until P.E.T.A. sees this 1. I used to be a member of PETA. I would *never* intentionally harm/abuse an animal. Even teaching science' date=' I had very few situations where I even thought dissection was a beneficial assignment. 2. There are no veterinary formulations of Benadryl, but vets do use it legally as an "off-label" drug. 3. It *did* help. He's not sitting here scratching all day. He's just....well, stoned! I knew it could make him rather lethargic. I just didn't know what that would entail in an older Pom. It's rather humorous. :) My wifes a Philippina....If the pets get out of line she eats them. Nothing like "Pit Bull Soup" mmmmmmm! Yep...my daughter still kinda looks at the dogs like lunch on hooves!

Gilliangirl
That's hilarious :) I used to work in a pub where the landlord gave the real ale in the drip trays to a Doberman named Shadow. He loved the stuff. Funny as hell to see him wobble around once time had been called. We used to store the used beer cans at the top of the stairs on the floor, ready to be taken downstairs to the utility room for washing and storage/recycling. We USED to do that. We don't anymore because I discovered Benny, my cat, licking the tops of the beer cans. He loves the stuff. Crazy cat, wonder where he gets that from? He's used to being corrected every time he posts or speaks.... :-) [/quote'] I don't get overly concerned when I make mistakes. I don't need to be correct all the time. I also don't attempt to fix all my mistakes. It's the thought that matters. I do find it amusing that many here need to always be right. To me that tells a lot more about a person then the missed spelled words and grammar problems. Thoughts are more important then the words used to describe them, just as actions speak more than words. Some here could probably use a bit of that logic.

Homz' date=' your patronizing and waxing philosophical is amusing, but takes nothing away from your constant failures. I don't NEED to be right all the time, at least I don't think so, but I'm usually on top of my game so the point is moot. I rarely err, at least on a level you would recognize.... [/quote'] I do recognize more than you would like others to believe. I just don't always point them out. Except in the case of your little jester KSG. For example, you would like everyone to think your this hard core right winger. I see brief moments of humanity in there at times. Not often, but it does happen. There may be some hope for you. Your boy, KSG is the real deal. He is devilishly intelligent and knows not to say certain things, but if I were a betting man I'd bet we might see him in the news some day. I know he's your bud and all, but I'd be careful who you invite over for dinner.
