My Slash is in the workshop

So My Slash signature is now in a workshop nearly 100 miles away. At the Gibson meet in London I asked Robbie Gladwell to have a look at her as I had a few issues with the way she was playing.. Robbie played the guitar and said the setup was shocking, which was having a huge impact on the way the guitar was sounding. Robbie is the authorised Gibson repair guy in the UK and really knows his stuff. I handed him the guitar which seemed unusual as it was like giving her to a complete stranger.. His setup's are meant to be awsome... I will keep you guys posted as there is always someone asking for a good guitar tech here in the UK...

I wont be seeing her for a couple of weeks..

Regards

I’ve had this book for about 2 months and can’t put it down. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to do your own setup this is it. It’s full of factory specs and that of famous guitarist. Worth every penny.

Play On!

Don't want to worry you' date=' but have you heard about this guy going around claiming to be Robbie and asking people for their Slash Les Pauls...[/quote']

And I hope for you that the fake Robbie isn't Curtis...(he loves all signature guitars from Jimmy to Slash)

I got that book just last week. At 18 years of age, it seems my LP must be having a few more issues than just a twist of the truss rod will help - I took the f'er to the shop because it was pissing me off. Besides not having enough patience for that kind of tweaking, I don't have the space to do the a lot of that stuff nor the room to store all those tools.

Thanks, man, but I think the shipping would be a bit pricey. I'm not giving up on doing general setups; I tweak the action and intonation myself and want to get down the truss rod adjustment. I just think that my guitar needs a little more attention than that this time around.
