Can Anyone Tell by Looking at the Back of it Where the Seams Are' date=' I Cant.

I Thought they Were 2 and 3 piece Bodies?[/quote']That is/was mostly LPs that have/had 2-3 piece bodies. The SG (and the original '57 Customs, of which the whole body was made from one huge, solid piece of mahogany) feature a one-piece body...well at least the many that I've seen/owned did. I think Epi SG bodies are made from multiple pieces though.

Yo lpdeluxe' date=' dude. How Much you pay for yours?[/quote']

When they were going for $899, I got it for $750. Now they're down to $699, which is reasonable for a US-made Gibson. I have to say, mine has no issues, and if I didn't have a 335 and a Les Paul, I'd play it all the time.

Not all SGs are single pieces of wood.

Nowadays, the only ones that are certainly 1-piece bodies are the Custom Shop ones. Everything else is/can be 2 or more, including '61RIs & Standards. Actually, I recall reading that the cheaper SGs can be as much as 5-piece bodies.
