Gilliangirl
Maybe I am too old but this, to me, is absolute 100% CRAP. I am fully anticipating that I will be flamed for this, and accused of being closed-minded, but this is not music. Period.
Californiaman
If it looks like a rose, smells like a rose and sounds like a... well ya' know, it's a putrid pile. That is not anything I want to listen to. EVER!
DAS44
you are correct that is not music.... discraceful... I could barely listen to it for more tha a few seconds .
adlankj
Lol, I don't think you're going to get much argument that that's pretty awful. Death Metal in general, to me, is just... pointless. Like it tries so hard to be angry and br00t4l that it becomes a parody of itself, and metal in general kinda. But, hey, some people probably listen to that and think it's genius. Music, huh? DAS44
metal is even worse than rap..... and it is the only thing musically that is. sorry to all of you who like it but...... well It is pathetic

NeoConMan
metal is even worse than rap..... I disagree. At least there is some sort of melody, can't say that for most rap. Either way, doesn't matter to me. It is pathetic.
DAS44
I find at least rap has a good beat and thats all I like about it.... metal I like nothing.... the titles the themes the sound the lack of artistry etc....

ksdaddy
That style of um..... (cough) "music" can actually be done in a cool way. There's a group called Six Feet Under that released an album of covers, Smoke on the Water, TNT, others, and it really kicks butt. The album title is Graveyard Classics. Might be old news to many (that group existing), but the first time I heard them do Smoke on the Water I almost drove off the road.

rocketman
I'm with AXE®. I do try to keep an open mind about music and I keep telling myself that I can learn something from anything. It's still true here, but I'll admit the cranial depth is not too deep in this case...

Riffster
Maybe I am too old but this' date=' to me, is absolute 100% CRAP. I am fully anticipating that I will be flamed for this, and accused of being closed-minded, but this is not music. Period. I love a lot of genres of metal, but Death Metal and its signature Dog Barking singing is just awful. even when it came out in the 80's I drew the line. I am surprised by the "Metal" generalizations though, I mean Metallica is metal, Dokken is metal, Accept is metal, all of them fantastic bands. DAS44
dont like metallica too much...just me Ive heard so much of their stuff I mean yeah a few songs Ive heard have tickled my fancy 1 or 2 but really not my cup o tea at all especially that crap in the orig post
Gilliangirl
I try to keep an open mind too. I really do. But there is no redeeming quality, nor skill, there at all. Anyone could recreate that with a drum machine on speed and some fingernails across a chalkboard. But apparently someone likes it.
Gilliangirl
I don't mind Metallica. In fact I really liked One the first time I heard it. I thought the guitars sounded great together, really tight sound. And I liked Enter Sandman too. So it's not like I'm not willing to consider music outside my usual genre. But that, sorry, is not music by any stretch of the imagination. Noise, yes. Music, no.
Riffster
Sadly yes somebody likes that stuff, it has been around since the 80's. When heavy metal started to split in branches in the 80's some bands where relly trying to set themsleves appart even if it was doing it the wrong way. Ugh

Riffster
Oh Metallica is not for everybody, that's alright. I don't like Jazz guitar for instance, nothing wrong with it but I do not like it at all.
