urbanmike
Hey guys, i have a custom shop Sj-200 and my truss rod cover cracked and rattles a bit. is there a way i can get a new one somewhere? I've seen some spare truss rod covers on gibson's website, but none that looks like mine. Heres the selection at gibson's website this is what i want any help would be awesome! p.s. i tried calling gibson, and apparently they don't sell every part, so he said i might not be able to get this part through gibson, but wouldn't you think a corporation like gibson would be able to send me a truss rod cover? ------edit------ i found one on ebay for a buy it now for $75! 75 DOLLARS!! why do you think that slice of painted plastic costs so much? guitarstrummer
You might try calling Music Villa in Bozeman to see if they can order one for you. http://www.musicvilla.com/ If not, here's one that's close (go to page 7 after you click on the link). http://www.custominlay.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=
Aaresz
The wide white border is usually reserved for the historic reissue Les Pauls which I have seen on eBay for much less than $75.00. Would this one work? http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-Historic-59-Truss-Rod-Cover-for-Les-Paul_W0QQitemZ110236701523QQihZ001QQcategoryZ38086QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
