pants
Are there any other Les Paul models (not counting the original ones, they are way out of my price range!) besides the Specials from the 90's and the short-lived Studio Gem Series that came with, or would easily accept P90's? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
tbonesullivan
sadly you're out of luck. They seem to be avoiding putting out any P-90 models for some reason. maybe the demand is low, or maybe, like with the mini humbuckers, they are afraid that people will just buy them and rout them for full-size 'buckers and flood the market with wannabes. still, they should at least offer something, like maybe a studio model that has P-90s. your other option of course is to get the P-94s and/or duncan phat cats, which sound almost the same. pants
I also came across a "Les Paul Pro" from the late 70's that had P90's in it. It's weird because i really dig the P90 sound and like you said, not a lot of axes come from the factory with them. P94's are a great idea I never even thought of. Tim Plains
This suits me, quite well! You can probably find a used one for around $2,000.
NeoConMan
Les Paul Deluxe with mini-humbuckers. The hole was designed for P-90's. Easy swap. Of course you might decide you like the mini-hums....
