Buc McMaster
In the first position, please. I know the 5th fret version. Is there one for the first position?
Gilliangirl
What about 004230 ?
Buc McMaster
Uh huh. Now yer talkin'! I do believe that's it G! Thanks!
Fenno
Be sure to throw a C in there to make it dominant. If you don't mind leaving out the root, take GG's voicing and drop the D, i.e., 004210
Jayla
Some other possibilities: XX0210 000210 200210 202232 and probably others. Why's it got to be in the first position?
ChrisA83
You'll find it here.http://www.gibson.com/Files/_gbme/tools/Chord_Finder/ Never knew that existed, cheers! Edit: how come when I quote it doesn't come up in a nice grey box?
albertjohn
Isn't it just XX0230? Try throwing in an F# bass on the bottom e string thus (with your thumb); 200230 As used by Pete Townshend and my favourite chord.
Buc McMaster
Karen's voicing works well with the rest of the progression, though it also works played as Jayla suggested, XX0210. It's a hybrid picked arrangement of This Masquerade and the first position voicing sounds better with the rest of the chords. I was using the 5th fret voicing and, though the right chord, it sounded a bit out of place. Thank you all for your help!!
