Riverside
No bass topics? Jeepers. Played an EB-3 for years in and around an Army band in Germany in the '70s... No love here? Sheesh. (Edit - the forum says there are posts - but I can't see 'em - what have I missed?)
Blackie
If I could choose a nice bass it would be the Gibson EB-3, guess I'll have to start with an epi.
Riverside
Ok, so I'm all over the "not last week" filter. Seems like not a very active page - I'll have to ramp it up.

rd_artist
she is a beast, I mean that in a good way, I can dial in just bout any tone I want, all maple body and neck make for some bright snappy tones. not good for slapping, but I have no slap skills, and she is heavy tons of sustain, when I switch on the compressor I can drive a note forever. gnjpowell
Just picked up an EB-3, an early one I think. It has the open headstock and the neck pickup butted right up against the neck. It appears to be 100% original including the (somewhat rough) hardcase. Anyone know how to set the string height with this bridge? Do you have to modify the plastic saddles? Anyone know how to remove the bridge from the body? (just for inspection and cleaning). THANKS! (the new new guy)
