OK punk - I've spoken out in your defence on several occasions now, but you just crossed the line.....

It's Cradle of Filth, the most successful British heavy metal band since Iron Maiden.

That's capital letters and spelt Cradle and Filth. Not cradel and fillth.

I guess you got the "of" right.

You should listen in - you just might hear stuff that opens your mind up a little.

Just raggin' yah dem00n, just raggin yah.....

Chris_Bloke.....

You maybe haven't heard of them - their titles are off the main-stream and tend not to get air-time for obvious reasons once you hear them. They are a Suffolk band from 1991 and have been with the Cacophonous, Music for Nations, Abracadaver, Sony and Roadrunner labels at various times.

You may have seen the controversial Nun/Jesus T-shirt, or caught them touring Russia, Ukraine, UK, Romania, Slovakia and North America with GWAR - the thrash-metal guys out of Virginia, USA.

You may also have heard tracks off their albums:-

The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Dusk... and Her Embrace, Cruelty and the Beast,

Midian, Damnation and a Day, Nymphetamine, Thornography, Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder.

And to answer your question - they are:-

Dani Filth – lead vocals (since 1991)

Paul Allender – lead guitar (1992–1996 and again since 2000 - Stuart Anstis filled the gap)

Charles Hedger – session/live guitar (since 2005 - before that was Jimmy Mcilroy and Gian Pyres)

Dave Pybus – bass guitar (since 2002 - Robin Eaglestone until then)

Martin Marthus Skaroupka – drums, percussion (since 2006 - alternating with Adrian Erlandsson)

Ashley Ellyllon – keyboards, backing vocals (since 2009 - was Rosie Smith, and others.....)

You'll win the lottery before you get Dem00n to clean up his punctuation.

Man - his punctuation is the least of my concerns.

His spelling and capitalisation are atrocious, his grammar vacuums and

his biased, bigoted attitude to various metal genres is despicable.

Just goes to confirm our worst fears about the youth of today:-

Their hair is too short and their music is too quiet. Waaay too quiet.

He needs to get himself an old tube filled loudificator and one of

those Lester Polfus roaring geetars and play some rock and/or roll.

BBC Radio 2 ont'internet. Click listen again. I listen to Bob Harris Country most weeks this way. Not sure how long it stays there for. I think the TV stuff is 1 week only.

In the old days I'd get my Dad to tape it for me.......................on a "Compact Cassette". This digital stuff's too compliacted.

BBC R2 - not cool? Who cares, I'll be listening.

Wow Chris. Tell more. What's your story?

I'm not that old but I've barely heard of Cradle of Filth, but then I listen to Bob Harris.
