Do you prefer flavored or plain ice?

Got me thinking.


You young guys are probably clueless but listen up anyway.

Remember years ago when all the restaurant ice makers produced the soft 'crushed' ice?

It was soft because it was actually made as frost, water condensed on a metal plate, frozen, then slid off.

It wasn't hard like the crushed or shaved ice we get now - more like snow.


Now and then I find an old restaurant or a Dairy Queen that still has it.


Pour an ice-cold bottle of Coke over that and there's your big glass of heaven!


Even root beer is better that way....
