Eracer_Team
spotted a LP Studio Raw Power in Natural Satin hanging in a shop Friday for $1100 but didn't get a chance to take it down and try. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were about a maple body, maple cap, maple neck with 57's for pickups. Can't find much in the way of sound clips from Youtube either. http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio-Raw-Power.aspx Thoughts/opinions? dem00n
Sounds great! But the SG verison is like 25% better and cheaper! I advise you to buy either.
tbonesullivan
it's definitely brighter sounding, but also it may be a bit heavier than the mahogany studio guitars. other than that though, it should play like a les paul.
Blackie
The SG version is heavy so the LP is def gonna weigh a lot 12-13lbs ?
ledzep59
$1100 is a lot of money for a studio.
Eracer_Team
that's also in Canadian not US dollar's, have you actually priced a studio lately?
DiamondJig
I don't think the neck is maple, it's strange but the spec's say it's mahongany with a maple fret board
