thejay
Soooo was at my local GC yesterday and was playing a bunch of guitars (always in search like some sort of sickness - ie GAS) and came across a LP Studio Blackout. By far one of the heaviest guitars I have ever picked up but the satin ebony finish was nice, the sound however was not all I was expected. Kind of disappointing to me. I played it a few mins and then went on... anyone else play these yet?
Rushview
Hmmmm, would like to see one. Bet Fender aren't happy as they make a Telecaster Blackout!
loneguitar
If you played the guitar at GC, don't judge the guitar..... You have no idea who has had there hands on those, they mess with the set-up IE: bridge etc. unless it's properly set up it's anybody's guess what has gone on with any guitar there. RabbidPinata
Loneguitar is right, I played two different Blackouts. The first one I wasn't to pleased with, then I played the second one and ended up buying it. The 60's style neck is slim and has such a great feel to it. It is heavy but it is not as heavy as a custom or a standard. There isn't pics anywhere on the web, si I will try to post a pic on here in a few days. Its a sweet guitar. thejay
Not every guitar is created equal either so one to the next is different... this I know. Just stating I was surprised by my so so trip to the store.
