Ever buy a guitar on-line you didn't like?

My daughters '08 Studio (Fireburst) was a surprise (9th birthday) and it had a splinter in the fretboard. I only had a few minutes to inspect it (kids, eh) and just a few days to get it replaced. I sent it back and the replacement was on time, and perfect, she never knew about it.

How that thing got past QC is beyond me, but, stuff happens....

It was built in Nashville.

Having said that, my ES-339 "CUSTOM SHOP" built in Memphis was PERFECT.

I like the Memphis guitars better......

Yes, years ago...

It was a Jackson w/ a sustainer pickup.

The PU was cool but the guitar felt really cheap.

I sent it back. I was already

spoiled by the U.S.A. models.

Since then I've moved on to LPs.

Only one Jackson left in the house. Bought several LPs

online and love 'em all. I've not seen a bad one fresh out

of the box.

Gibson Q.C. is great IMO!

Got an Explorer, based on the serial number had been sitting in the case for exactly one year, the smell of the curing nitro had been inside the case for that long. I could not take it, my whole 2300 square foot house was impregnated with the smell. Sent it back.

I love the smell of nitro................

I can smell it on my "Custom Shop" ES-339 even in a smokey bar after a year.......

I'll be playin', and I'll think, "wow, I smell nitro!"

It happens ALL THE TIME........
