retrosurfer1959
About 45 minutes. I ordered a traveling songwriter a few years ago because I could never find one in a store. I took delivery strummed it, grimaced tuned it strummed it a few more times and put it back in the box and drove it to a UPS drop-off store. Terrible guitar no tone dead and shallow sounding, I found another one a few months later that I liked bought it and my niece claimed it in less than a week to take to college. So I've struck out twice on that model maybe I need to find another one to either replace it or strike out for good on that model for songwriting. Thundergod
2 days... an Ibanez RG1750 if I remember correctly, a guy needed money desperately and sold it to me for 200 bucks with the original hard case and all, never really knew how much it was really worth but I sold her for 900 bucks 2 days later (I dont like used stuff, cannot bond with it no matter what). The guy called me a couple of weeks after, offered my 200 back, when I refused he offered 300, then 350... but she was long gone

ksdaddy
A few hours. I bought a '93 American Strat on ebay and before the UPS truck came I had also bought a '79. I unboxed the '93, told a friend it was up for grabs, and he came over and swapped me something or other for it.

Blackie
Bought a new SG Special for $600 and took it back 4 months later and got $500 off a new SG Standard that I should have got to start with. I was glad they gave me that much. That was at MARS, not in business here anymore.

Silverbursted
Shortest time for a guitar was 2 days, an 85 Kramer Pacer that was total crap, sent it back to the seller. Nothing as advertised on eBay. Had an amp for about an hour. Ordered a Marshall MG30 from GC website, sounded like complete garbage, drove to GC and returned it. KSG_Standard
Sometime in the early 90s I bought an Epi Sheraton...It sucked. I got rid of it in less than 30 days.
tazzboy
ES-335 lasted about 3 months before I trade for 2 stratocaster (acquiring a 3rd) which they last a year before I trade them in for 82 Gibson Les Paul Standard I have.

Riffster
A beautiful Epipone Les Paul with bisgby. I bought it on eBay and should never have, I owned the guitar for 6 months but for 5 months and 3 weeks I thought about selling it. Sam Ash bought it from me since it was a very striking guitar, I lost only $25 over 6 months. Not bad. The guitar was a chick magnet but it would not play well. Notes_Norton
I had a Kramer/Focus/Faux-Strat for about a month. I hated the short neck radius. If I ever get a strat-ish guitar again, I'll probably go for a clone with a 12" or better neck radius. Notes
AXE®
I had a nice Strat "stolen" about three weeks after buying it. Other than that I buy em to play and keep. Yeah I think like a man.
