brundaddy
Like butta: I'm not a good photographer , but you can see where the neck snapped off... pucker up, buttercup: Sweet one-off, custom pickup mounting system.
lowb5str
If you REALLY love your V, take it out for a spacleanup at your FLGS. They'll glue it properly and untape it. (But only if you have a few bucks for it.)
brundaddy
If you think it looks like hell, just wait til you play it! To deny the ****'s true nature is to not truly love the ****. It's been properly glued on a jig and it actually plays very, very nice. I think the neck joint is now stronger than it was at the factory. That tape is to keep the high E from snagging under the bobbins. The **** has seen some action ... and for good, good reason: plays and performs like a beast. lowb5str
The rust, yes that's it, the rust misled me. ;-) I saw the rust together with the tape and got ALL confoozled.
brundaddy
Oh no, I better make certain there is no tape or rusty screws... someone out there disapproves!

gibsonpure
Black one I owned - I'm on to white - haven't modded it yet. Bought a black pearl pickguard for it, but decided on either white pearl, or mirror, (undecided, really)..
gibsonpure
Here's a black '67 reissue I owned. I moved on to a classic white. It's next, with either a white pearl, or mirror pickguard!
Rewddawg1
Here's a pic of my New century V. I have always wanted a V and this was available at a price less than a faded V plus it is a limited edition. It still sounds and plays great like a V should. Hydra26
Here's mine and if we're posting non gibby's, I prefer my gibbies, but this is really pretty good
brundaddy
Your Carvin has the strap button in kinda the same spot as where I relocated mine on my Gibson: (God it balances so nice now.)
Hydra26
yeah, unfortunately due to a little lack of planning on my part, where the strap button and output jack are (both on the inside) looks really cool, but becomes a bit like a medieval torture device when I try to play it sitting down with the crook resting on my leg But standing up, it looks fantastic and the cable stays nice and tidy. Had to request special wiring because my original flying v got me very used to having a separate volume for each pup.

jamman
Thanks , that V is a great axe. I Play'em all , as much as i can. Those are 3 of my top 5. I think I'm done with my collecting (for a while ,as i just picked up a PRS yesterday). I need to chill out for a while. And play a whole lot.
