David T
I recently bought a 1939 GIbson publication called "Gibson System for Guitar, part one" It's 40 printed sheets of guitar lessons, here's a nice picture from one of the sheets. Got some cool instruments, I think. I can see an L-00 or two and some Kalamazoos.
Taylor Player
Ah... what a nice looking group of shredders! lol......... Neat to notice how many of the players are women in this group. Doesn't seem to be that way anymore for some reason. Only a very select (and cool - thats for you GG) number of women seem to play guitar now. Neat to in that I have friends in Appleton WI! Taylor Player
never mind the people' date=' what happened to those guitars?!?!? lol.[/quote'] I am betting the scarey looking kid sitting in front figured out a way to kill all the players in the group, grab their guitars and is now has sold most of them through Ebay under the name "IKillForGibson"
TommyK
The fourth from the left is oddly shaped... maybe it's the lighting. This was probably back when guit tar teachers could act as dealers, sell the guitars and sell their own services to teach. The center fellow in the front row, behind the youngster with the 'Hawaiian'? appears to be the teacher. Looks quite successful too.

David T
The fourth from the left is a Kalamazoo KG-11 and they ARE oddly shaped. I'm told they sound really good. I have a KG-14 which is the same shape as a Gibson L-00 and it's a great guitar. They're both ladder braced, but very light in weight, so sound very bluesy. Good for bare-finger pickers. Here's one of each: the first is the KG-11 Here's the prettier one, KG-14. Thanks to Gbase.com for the photos !
