Warren1957
I recently bought a 57 Reissue LPC 2PU at my local dealer and after a few days the guitar has arrived. But when I put my hands on it I feel a little disappointed with the weight. It was very very very very light compared to my regular 07´ Custom Wine Red and my 2005 weight relieved LP Standard FADED. Assuming that all 57 LPC Reissues aren´t weight relieved or chambered, why is mine so light?? Note: I was not expecting an ultra heavy LPC but I´m really surprised with the weight!! Tim Plains
Unless the serial number begins with CR, it has a solid-body. Historic reissues get the lighter wood. It's one of the things you pay for with the historic line. The '57 Customs I've tried were all in the 9 lb range. My modern Custom with weight-relief holes is 10 lbs.
