b3hollow
Will Gibson ever return to the previous headstock design on the Lucille? The one with the classy Lucille scrolled across it. Is it possible to get a new one with this older style design? The new design leaves allot to be desired with the "crown" and such. :)

This one was my main stage guitar throughout the '90's: At the time I bought it, it was called the "B.B. King Custom." Danny W.
Bard2dbone
There was a local guy a few years back who had a guitar much like that but in antique sunburst and without the vari-tone. I wanted that guitar so very very badly. But A.) I can't afford it. and B.) I don't play guitar well enough to rate a killer machine like that one. But MAN! I wanted that guitar. bobv
There's a new headstock inlay? What is it now? Sort of a gaudy affair that they released to celebrate BB's 80th birthday, pictured on the cover of the album he came out with that year (with lots of guest artists, BB and Friends). St James
I am hoping that this pic comes out .... LIKE DANNY W THIS TO WAS KNOWN AS A BB KING CUSTOM..... THE LUCILLE'S WITH BB KING IN THE NECK WERE ONLY FOR BB BUT THEY DID HAVE A FEW LEFT OVER ANBD SOLD THOSE AS SPECIAL ORDERS FROM big EXTRA$$$$$$ . imho THIS ONE IS PROBABLY THE MOST DESIRABLE.....BEING ONE OF ONE This is a prototype of the 80th birthday LUCILLE in RED. It is a ONE OF A KIND and slightly different than the special trim used on the 80 GUNMETAL GREY ONES. The only BIG difference is that the truss rod say 80 years and BB King on it and they changed that when they made the final decision and also decided to make JUST 80 instead of 80 of each color. WHICH FOR ME TURNED OUT PERFECT....I PREFERRED THE RED AND WHEN I WAS I GOT THE CHANCE TO BUY THIS IN MEMPHIS AT THE FACTORY SALE I JUMPED ON IT ALONG WITH 20 OTHER BIDDERS.....BUT I WAS DETERMINED I am so LUCKY and GLAD to have been given the chance to get this baby and it came with the documentation. ENJOY THE PIC ain't she a beauty !!!! THIS IS MY BABY AND MY NUMBER 1 guitar....such warm tone St.James
