daveinspain
Can you add a spot for choosing both?
Kiwi
It totally depends on what you're playing... I myself prefer SG's for classic rock and blues, while someone else might like Les Pauls for that. It's hard to choose one of them, heck; I'd want one of both if I had the money. But ultimately I think SG's are my thing.
Tim Plains
Les Pauls do it for me.

GuitarJunkie
I have a feeling putting this in the LP or SG forum would yield different results. Although I own 3 SGs but only 2LPs, I have to say LP. If I was told tomorrow that I could only keep one of my guitars, it would be my LP Classic Plus, without hesitation. Plank_Spanker
I own two SG's and two LP's, so I guess that puts me solidly in the "both" category.....................even if it's not a choice. All four guitars sound and play differently, but each has it's place on the pallette.
ibis
If I had to keep just one guitar it would be the Les Paul. If, however I was still playing in a band at the time it would be the SG as it is more versatile.

flyingarmadillo
SG for me. I love the sound of the LP, but once I got used to the feel of my SG I definitely like it better.

Aaresz
I own, and love both. Though I must say that LP is my first love, and forever favorite!
Guitarhero15
SG all the way for Me. It gives me the tone I want and its more comfortable for me to play.

P90Pete
I have and play both. It would be hard to pick between them. My current gig has me playing the SG more.
