AssortedJellyBeans
If any of you guys like instrumental experimental rock/music in general than you should check out this band Gatling. They play a mix of genres- everything from death metal to techno to avant-garde. ShredAstaire
Is this your band? If it is, I hope you don't mind if I provide some feedback.....it has potential....i listened to the first link and I suggest working on the guitar tone..some reverb and a tiny bit of delay could help with that clean tone. Where was this recorded?
AssortedJellyBeans
Yeah it's my band... I guess I could have been clearer in the OP. This was recorded in one of the band member's basements... he has Cubase. Thanks for the comment ShredAstaire!
ShredAstaire
Nice...how long you guys been at it? Recording is a tough process to get it sounding right...like how you hear it in your head. Play with effects a little until you find the best tone you can get and when you're going from Clean to heavy distortion, I would recommend a punch-in rather than using a distortion pedal on the fly....will sound smoother and cleaner that way. (To my ears at least!) Where in Canada are you man? I'm moving back to Toronto on Saturday...yay Canada!
AssortedJellyBeans
Wow, good idea about the distortion! We're from Burlington actually! That's really close to Toronto, about a half hour (or less).
