VBB
I use Gibson Vintage Re-issue. Great strings BTW. Used 10's now switching to 11's for the better tone.

Hector Arcadius
I go with .11's and tune to D.... As SRV put it: ''I use heavy strings, tune low and floor it!'' But then again, this is an interesting way to with Strats, not Pauls.
mcmurray
Changing mine tomorrow as they are knackered' date=' what should i fit for best tone.?[/quote'] I would recommend using the same gauge that you currently use. It'll be easiest to setup that way, i.e. you won't have to worry about nut slot widths, truss rod, intonation etc.
LPguitarman
I used to use 9's but stepped up to 10's when I got my LP. Better tone.
guitarjunky
1/2 step down with Dean Markley regular 10's. Best I ever used, they hold up the longest compared to other brands.
guitarman8
Ernie Ball 10 to 46, been using them on my Les Paul and Strat for years. I tried the fancy gauges heavy bottom light top, 11's to 52's de tuning's on the strat and went back to the old 10 to 46's concert tuning.

guitarman8
Ernie Ball Regular Slinky! Cheap' date=' feel good, effective.[/quote'] Yep regular slinky, yellow pack 10 to 46. Why Ernie because they're solid nickels, more so than Di addario GHS or any others. Go Ernie
