is this a worthwhile trade... sg for les paul

Hrmmm. I think it's a fair trade. It depends on if you like the LP better. I say go for it if you like the other guitar.

 

If it was me, I'd keep the SG. It's got the same pickups, and it weighs less. I like SG's better though.

I dont understand why this is so... my sg standard goes for 1200 and the les paul studio goes for 1300... why does everyone view the studio sg as so much better.... i understand standard is higher up on the food chain but standard les pauls cost waaaay more.

 

Anyone care to enlighten me?

Because it's trading a standard of one model for the budget model of another.

 

The SG standard seems to hold it's value better also.

ok ok ok... you and everone else at a couple other forums have convinced me...

 

I love the sg... I am gonna keep it... I have like 10 guitars anyway and this is one that I would be happy never getting rid off.

 

I can always add a les paul later.
