Ken Rayba Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Does anybody know what is the string gauge used from the Factory on an Epiphone Les Paul! My friend purchased a used on, it has 9's on it, and it doesn't seem to want to stay in tune. I was going to set it up for him, but from what I have found, I believe the factory installed strings should be 10's! The Epiphone website doesn't even list 9's on their string gauge page, but they also don't list the Les Paul Models either. Thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's what the Gibson LPs are shipped with. i thought gibson lp's were factory fitted with 9-46 , i fitted that gauge as soon as my lp arrived and its perfect with no adjustment needed to anything...iv'e always thought it to be 9-46 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
