Kolera
As I mentioned in the Faded Club a couple of days ago, I've just had the pickups changed on my LP Standard Faded. I asked my guitartech to get some pics of the pickup and controlcavities. I havn't had a chance to look inside a LP and I'm not going to take one apart myself, so I was kinda curious. If anyone else is curious to see the insides without taking your own LP apart, here you go: And rotated: HB = Honey Burst LPSF = Les Paul Standard Faded Correct? And the control cavity: I'm a little suprised that the top appears to be very thick. I actually thought the tops were relatively thin? Feel free to comment. Edit: It's an '08 by the way if anyone should wonder.
bubba_leon
call me crazy but the bridge pickup looks like it's soldered on backwards!
Kolera
I wouldn't be able to tell in a million years. I don't even know if the pups in the picture are the original ones or if they are the new ones... Anybody know anything about that?
lakehaus
Looks like the new pups are resting on top of the body, while the original 4 conductor pups are still soldered in place. The braided lead of the new Gibson pup just happens to be resting on top of the bridge V pot. Not soldered, and totally random.
