cousingrandpa
I just traded my explorer for this, 2006 Les Paul standard. I took out the BB pros & put in Dimarzio air zone & virtual pafs. I like this much better than the explorer.

GavinGuitar
Congrats. That's quite a nice looking guitar. Looking at your signature, I guess that's Wine Red? If so, I really like that color with some transparency. Nice trade!

rocketman
Congratulations! I actually think it's a black cherry like mine. Did the previous owner tell you where it was originally purchased? Gibson had a limited run of black cherry finishes on Standards around that time that were exclusively sold through GC. They also had them on Limited Edition guitars but I can see from the headstock it's a Standard. Here is mine for comparison purposes:
cousingrandpa
Thanks guys, I have been playing it a lot since I got it & it is a great playing guitar. I still like my 58 VOS better but this one will get a lot of use.

Hector Arcadius
Many congrats on what it seems to be an excellent trade! I have a soft spot for wine red finish (I think that Gibson does not make so many of them actually...) and I also think that the uncovered pickups fit perfectly. Enjoy her! Name? (Ruby should I suppose...? )
gibboman
It's clear amber & it's #5 built from what Dave Wintz says (onwer of Robin guitars). Lovely. how do you rate them against the Gibsons. I think they sound and play great. I wouldn't sell my LP's' date= but to me anyway, these guitars offer a very good option. The two strap button locations are a great idea. Here's a couple pix of my tsb.
cousingrandpa
I think they are outstanding & very playable, well built & very comparable. Mine only has one strap location. I wish Gibson would make them with a 50s neck & bustbuckers, that would be smokin. It looks like Robin is going to be making new Artisans at their place in Texas though.
