List your top sig's/replicas you wish Gibson would create....

Tom Scholz Les Paul Signature!!: Come on guys! I know Boston's forte wasn't marketing like KiSS, Journey, or Van Halen; nor have the critics revered them as say Led Zeppelin (though I will admit LZ would be higher up in the rock tree), but seriously....Tom Scholz has kept the same two rare Les Paul Gold Top Standards (both 1968 I believe and rare due to the wider necks) and given us many epic rock compositions soaked with layer after layer of Les Paul glory! He's shown dedication, innovation, and skill towards his instrument and the Les Paul has remained a cornerstone of his trademark sound.

Randy Rhoads Les Paul Signature: Okay I won't get into a long-winded re-hash of this truly gifted, legendary guitarist. You know I love him if you've read any of my posts. He may have been better known for his polka-dot flying V and the Jackson Rhoads line of guitars which follows to this day, but it's my feeling that he treasured that beautiful 1972 Les Paul Custom more than any other axe in his arsenal. Come on, it's the guitar that conquered the world with "Crazy Train" =))

PS: I believe it was a 1972 Custom and I want to say it was white to begin with. In the April, 1981 "After Hours" videos on YouTube with the Blizzard of Ozz band, it appears to be more "creamy"

Why not have a signature Les Paul after Les Paul? O:)

Not to take this thread into a different direction...but other than Les Paul, I don't want another musicians name on my guitar. What I would like to see is the features these signatures have available on all Gibsons.

Personally, I'd like to be able to buy your regular, everyday LP Standard with a piezo. Why should I have to buy a limited edition LP with another guy's name on it in order to get this?

The only signature LP I would want to have is Bob Marley's LP. Not because it's "Bob Marley's" guitar, but because it's the the most visually distinctive Les Paul out there...the first thing I'd do is replace the TRC with Bob's name on it though.

I think there were only 200 made...and you never hear anything about them. The Epiphone version looks like a pile of crap, if you ask me...but the Gibson version looks killer.

"Fastest of the fast" Tim, i just googled for the bob marley les paul and you are damn right... the epi looks like crap specially compared to the gibson ... until you noted it i had never payed attention to the fact that one guitar doesnt have anything to do with thw other, i'm shocked!

The gibson, i like.. the epi is driving me nuts... not even the same style of pickups or similar color... is like if epi were to sell a jimmy page custom that consisted on a custom with jimmy's face drawn on it!
