mikecheckstudios Posted November 16, 2009 Share Posted November 16, 2009 I recently bought what I was told is a set of Gibson pickups out of an SG Standard. They look identical to each other, both have a chrome cover with the braided wiring, but one is lighter is weight than the other (could it be less windings = lighter pickup?) and the lighter one has no markings on it at all. The heavier one has "Gibson USA" on the bottom. Can anyone that has experience with these stock Gibson 490R/498T pickups tell me if this is normal, or should they both say "Gibson USA" on them?
