Stain Problem

- actually thats a good name for a band!

Anyway, I have a VOS R8 which has started to bug me - where my right arm comes over the guitar and brushes on the body, the binding has picked up some black dye from my shirt. Not only that, there is a darker patch on the back where the guitar rests against me.

Has the nitro 'soaked' up the dye?

More to the point, does anyone please know how to remove it??

Many thanks in advance..

Wow - thanks for your quick reply - the results certainly look good! I notice you are in the UK - did you order yours from the US or is there a UK stockist?

I've also emailed Gibson to see what they have to say about the problem - a £2500 guitar should not really be discolouring so easily just by being played by someone wearing a black jumper!

Thanks again - I've ordered some: I hope it does the trick!

I'll report back with b4 and after pics when it does come...

Cheers

no prob, look forward to the pics....

p.s i cant imagine that the dye in your shirt could be strong enough to penetrate the cellulose lacquar, i reckon a good rub with the virtuoso cleaner will sort this out :-k
