Murph
Do you realize how perfect the SG is for "sitting" and playing? I just realized this, and I'm ashamed it took me so long. I have a 339, my daughters Les Paul, a Tele, and an old Melody Maker in front of me, but if I'm gonna sit on a bar stool, and jam a little, the SG just fits perfect....... Think....... Dub-T-123
So very true. The waist placement is very nice for sitting. I usually jam sitting on the sofa in my bands jam space/ recording studio.
jameswithesg
the sg fits perfect whether your standing up or sitting down, im not the largest dude so the sg is perfection for me
Wally Walrus
For a very long time in my life I had only a Tele with body contour (handles just like a strat) and that was it. The first time I played with a SG I found it extremely awkward. And it was even worse when standing, because the neck was heavier than the body it was a faded Epi SG. Today my Historic SG is my main guitar. It feels and plays and sounds like heaven.
ShredAstaire
Agreed....when i want to chill out and just play, i grab my SG, sit and jam... :)
flyingarmadillo
Well, I'm more apt right now to pick up the Ric 12 string right now, but the SG is nice, and the sitdown observation even works with my SG bass.

The flying V is the best sitting down. Though SG is still very nice.
jimmiJAMM
Flying V's are perfect for a space age cartoon character like George Jetson while the SG is simply "the perfect" guitar.

I Agree with that. I just got my first SG Robot a couple of months ago and it works well when standing or sitting to record. Very comfortable.
