Most have swiss cheese holes (which started in the early 80's). This one is 100% solid. How do you like the guitar? Has yours turned green or bronze? Mine did.... My LP is excactly the same as the one as "silverburst" has and indeed it became a bit yellowish/bronze over time. Also some screws became a bit rusty. (i haven't though). I love the guitar, lots of sustain and the sound is very versatile, deep warm at the neck and screaming at the bridge. I play it over a Peavey 5150 with only a little delay. 56LP Special Posted January 19, 2010 Share Posted January 19, 2010 Hey '88 Silverburst, Welcome. You were wise to hang on to your original. I haven't seen too many of those. It looks like it has the ceramic pickups (without pole adjustment screws). Before going to PRS, Carlos Santana used to play the L6-S model Gibsons with those pickups and really made them scream.
