Nick Beach
Whats with those inlays when they were putting the neck on the body in the second vid? Like an LP with three circle inlays in the first couple of frets.

Riverside
They cut up some wood, glue it together, wire in a few electrical thingies, then shine the shlt out of it. The more shiny, the more it costs. The way shiny ones are way nice looking.

Andre S
It was the best Gibson-build video, I have ever seen.. Lots of things I was mistaken about. I always got the impression that the body and cap was shaped independently. I would have loved to see how they install neck binding too though.. anyone know? Dub-T-123
Whats with those inlays when they were putting the neck on the body in the second vid? Like an LP with three circle inlays in the first couple of frets. Those aren't inlays. They're some kind of sticker or marker.

Xinnix
I really enjoyed these videos! The only thing I'm curious about was when he said all guitars have a 3 piece back. Although I've seen many that do, I'm pretty sure my 05 Std Faded is a solid piece. Put it next to one that has a 3 piece and its very noticeable and you can clearly see the seams. On mine, you can go over it with a magnifying glass and won't see a seam. Am I High? Did they do such a good job on mine and not on others? I know I was surprised too, because my studio is a two piece, and hearing that it can be 3 or more was surprising.
